Notably thought of as one of the greatest golfers in history, Ben Hogan is one of very few golfers to have won all the four majors championships. He managed to do three of them in one year, 1953 and road in a ticker tape parade down New York City's Broadway.
His early career was tough, barely making ends meet, and his career was interrupted by service to the army in WWII and later by a serious car accident in 1948. Neither of those events deterred his continual study and practise of the game. He developed a repeatable perfect grip and swing using good fundamentals as a basis for good golf. To this day, he is considered to be one of the top three of golfers of all time.
