Gordie Howe made his NHL debut in 1946 and led the league in scoring. A terrific ambidextrous shooter with the Red Wings for 25 years, Howe held many of the leagues records until Wayne Gretzky broke them in the 1990’s. During his time, he was part of “The Production Line” with Sid Abel and Ted Lindsay and the trio finished consecutively in league scoring standing.
In 2008, Howe was the first recipient of the NHL Lifetime Achievement Award. He will long be remembered for his scoring prowess, physical strength, and career longevity... one of the greats.
