Football's Comeback King

Joe Montana  (1956 -   )   Born in New Eagle, PA -- just south of Pittsburgh
Nickname:  "cool kid" and "The Comeback king"

 

Joe Montana was a great quarterback for two NFL teams, The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.   Montana is a four time Super Bowl Champion with 3 Super Bowl MVP awards.  His cool, calm and collected behavior under pressure game situations earned him his nicknames.

 

He was known for some key game plays such as "The Catch", a touchdown pass in the 1981 NFC Championship Game and a Super Bowl-winning 92-yard drive vs. the Bengals in Super Bowl XXIII.
