Wilt Chamberlain is known to be one of the best basketball players to ever play in the NBA. He is the only player in history to ever score 100 points in one game. He averaged 30.1 points a game throughout his career. Wilt held 71 records in the NBA when he retired in 1973. In 1978 he was elected into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Originating from Philadelphia, Chamberlain had occasion to play high school basketball against Farrell High School. When meeting Chamberlain for the autograph, Hank joked that he had witnessed his team “lose” a rare game, when they went up against McClusky’s famed Farrell basketball team.
